Candidiasis
A yeast infection in the vagina caused by the fungus candida
albicans. Can be transmitted sexually, by direct contact and by use of
toys that have not been properly cleaned between uses.
Celibacy
Abstinence from sexual intercourse, usually for religious reasons.
Cervix
The neck-shaped, narrow outer part of the uterus that protrudes into the vagina. The area where pap smear cell samples tend to be collected.
Chlamydia
A sexually transmitted infection that may or may not include symptoms. If symptoms occur they may include discharge and itching. Curable with antibiotics.
Climax
The culmination of sexual pleasure usually resulting in orgasm.
Clitoral Stimulator
A toy designed specifically to stimulate the clitoris, usually with vibration or friction.
Clitoris
The clitoris is the only organ in the human body whose sole function
is pleasure. In other words, the clitoris was built for orgasm. The tip
of the clitoris is the round nub right above the meeting point of the
inner labia. It is protected by a little fold of skin, or hood, which
is a good thing, because there are 6,000 to 8,000 nerve endings in the
clit, and even a light touch is usually felt rather intensely. As with
the penis, the clitoris is composed of erectile tissue and gets bigger
and harder when a woman is turned on. A lot of women prefer their clits
touched through the clitoral hood. The visible nub of the clit, called the glans, is just the tip of
the iceberg. The clitoris continues on from the exposed tip, primarily
in the form of two clitoral legs which stretch back beneath the labia
on either side of the vaginal opening. There are significant areas of
erectile tissue, muscles, nerves and blood vessels which are part of
the complex organ which responds to sexual tension and resolves in
orgasm. Most women orgasm from stilmulation of the clitoris, but they vary
greatly in terms of the stimulation they prefer. Vibrators, with their
impressive range of intensities, offer an ideal way to experiment with
clitoral stimulation.
Cock
Slang expression for the penis or penis-shaped toy.
Cock Ring
Cock rings (also called
penis rings) bind the penis and testicles. This traps blood in the
penis, which can result in engorgement, greater sensitivity, and a
firmer erection. Cock rings come in many styles, including the basic single strap-style those that separate the balls, and those that vibrate the clitoris during vaginal intercourse. To use a cock ring, strap it around the base of the penis and behind
the testicles. If you’re new to cock rings, look for styles that are
easy to remove and adjust. These cock rings can be put on at any time
during an erection. Secure the strap as snugly as is comfortable. If
you are using a cock ring that is not adjustable, put it on when your
penis is flaccid. Hold the ring under your balls and insert your
testicles one at a time. Now push the penis through. The only way it
will come off is if you lose your erection. We don't recommend the
metal rings for cock ring neophytes.
Coil-operated Vibrator
An electric vibrator that uses spinning electromagnetic coils to produce vibration. Usually plug-in, coil vibrators tend to produce quiet, strong, focused vibration.
Condom
Condoms are latex
barriers typically used during sexual intercourse for contraceptive
purposes or as a means of preventing sexually transmitted diseases.
Male condoms are designed to fit over the penis, while the female condom is inserted vaginally. Condoms are usually made of thin rubber, latex or polyurethane. Condoms are one of the most effective contraceptives on the market,
but condom failure has more to do with misuse than with a faulty
product. When putting the condom on your penis, make sure to add a drop
of lubricant to the tip of the condom and the penis for a more
comfortable ride. Pinch the air out of the tip before rolling it down
the shaft, then make sure to hold on to the condom when you withdraw to
avoid spillage. Don’t use old or brittle condoms, and check to make
sure the condom hasn’t passed its expiration date. Condoms are a great safe sex accessory: cut one open and it doubles
as a dental dam during oral sex, slip one over a sex toy that you’ll be
sharing between partners (changing the condom between uses), or use one
on a porous sex toy so it’s easier to clean up.
Cowper's Glands
Two pea-sized glands underneath the prostate, connected to the urethra that produce fluid (known as pre-cum) prior to ejaculation.
Cunnilingus
Cunnilingus is the holy grail of satisfying most women. Whether
you're a born muffdiver or are curious about how to perform
cunnilingus, here are a few helpful cunnilingus techniques:
Lick her like an ice cream cone…big soft licks from stem to stern
with a wide flat tongue stimulate all the nerves in her genital area.
Go deliciously slow to make her feel like a yummy dessert being
savored, or speed it up a bit and focus more on the clitoral area to
push her towards orgasm.
Dive in. Build up the intensity level gradually. Once you're into
it, use your whole face during cunnilingus. Bury yourself in her pussy,
get your tongue in as far as possible, use your nose for more pressure.
Not only does this feel good physically, it lets her know you are
really into her taste and smell.
Insert two fingers in her vagina while licking her clit. Curl
those fingers up towards your tongue, capturing her clit and G-spot
between your mouth and fingers. As your tongue licks up pull down with
your fingers; get a rhythm going. Another cunnilingus tip is to add a G
spot vibrator for more intense vaginal stimulation.
Suck her into your mouth. Gentle suction is a nice variation on
the licks and downward pressure of most cunnilingus. While you've got a
nice piece of her sucked in your mouth, lick it while maintaining the
suction.
Cunt
Slang expression for vagina. This term was considered nasty and
insulting for quite some time and has recently been the focus of quite
some attention.
Cybersex
Sexual activity or arousal through communication by computer.
Cyberskin
Cyberskin is a sex toy material that has a realistic, skin-like
feel. Since it is a porous material that cannot be disinfected.
Cystitis
A bladder infection marked by pain as well as frequent, painful urination.
